Cared For Or Independent?

Employees of companies in States like Virginia are entitled to certain protections. (See for example the Virginia Code Section titled “Protection of Employees” at https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title40.1/chapter3/)

If you are an employee, the State wants to make sure you are taken care of.

If you are an independent contractor, that is you have your own company and you do work for other companies under Independent Contractor Agreements, then who takes care of you?

YOU DO! Because you are INDEPENDENT!
